It is critical to focus on SS as longevity insurance and recognize that each individual and each couple is different. There is NO one size fits all answer to when to claim SS. Although targeted at CPAs, this article is readily accessible to anyone contemplating retirement and when to claim SS. Retiring and claiming benefits are two separate decisions and don’t necessarily need to take place at the same time.
